Eric earned his Music Education degree from Lander University in 2000. He was a director of bands in Tooele County and Provo City School Districts 2005-2020.

In 2019 Eric was selected as the educator of the year at Provo High School. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha, Sinfonia and the Utah Music Educators Association. His marching and concert bands along with his indoor percussion programs consistently earned superior ratings. It was during this time that he began to develop his skills as a drill designer while gaining valuable insight from directing, which he would use later as a full-time designer.

Many of his drill design clients have been state, regional and national contest winners and finalist. Over thousands of superior ratings have been earned by bands and indoor percussion ensembles using his designs. The secret to Eric’s success is his amazing ability to design modern shows that push the creativity and are also achievable for students at any skill level.

Marching Arts Sound Engineer

Eric earned his Master of Music with an emphasis in Music Technology degree from Southern Utah University in 2020. SUU’s Performance Technology Track music program ranked #9 among The Best Online Master’s in Music Programs and given the Best For Studio Careers designation by OnlineMasters.com (2019). While in the Masters program he finished his “Guide to the Marching Arts”, a guide to help the young and inexperienced directors enter into sound design. Eric has worked with miking and mixing live sound in the marching arts for over a decade. He has been a sought after clinician for several years and continues to help ensembles find “their sound”.

Many of his ensemble win Music awards on a state and regional level. Their success is through trusting Eric to provide them with quality designs, mixing on-site and readily available guidance when problems arise.
